NEW LA GUARDIA HUB OPENS
Southwest Airlines opens a state of the art brand new travel hub at La Guardia
Dallas, TX. Nov 20th, 2020. Southwest Airlines is committed to providing the very best travel service. That is why we are excited to share the news about the opening of our latest travel hub at La Guardia airport this November.
For five years, our Director of Innovation, Lisa Hingson, has been working with our Senior Director of Ground/Airport Operations, Chris Johnson, to conceptualize the very best travel hub experience for Southwest Airlines travelers.
Working with Deputy Airport General Manager Lysa Scully, Hingson and Johnson have provided Southwest with a state of the art travel hub that is guaranteed to improve our customer experience, from the moment they enter the hub, to the moment they board our planes.
“It has been an absolute delight working with my colleagues Chris and Lysa these past few years on this effort, and we are all very excited to see our hard work come to life in this improved travel experience for our Southwest Airline customers,” said Hingson, speaking about the upcoming opening.
Southwest Travelers can look forward to large display full-color screens that direct customers to check-in queues for faster service and many new self-service kiosks that will make checking in a breeze.
In addition to these technological improvements, the new hub features amazing artwork from a diverse selection of NYC native artists and food and beverage offerings representing the many tastes and flavors of New York City.
